The purpose of this law is to maintain their rights to compensation of Jewish refugees from Arab countries and Iran in negotiations for peace in the Middle East. |

In this Law - |

"A refugee Jew from Arab Countries and Iran" – is all the following: |
|
|
|
|
(1) is a citizen of Israel, including whether he was a resident of Israel before the establishment of Israel; |
|
|
|
(2) He was a permanent resident in an Arab country or Iran, and left partly because of persecution, because of his Jewishness and because of his being defenseless against such persecution; |
|
|
|
(3) He left in his country of origin the property he owned; |
|
|
"Property" - land, chattels, money, rights, and any property added by the government order. |

Negotiations to achieve peace |

Negotiations for peace in the Middle East will include the issue of government compensation for the loss of property to Jewish refugees from Arab countries and Iran, including property owned by the Jewish community in these countries. |

The Prime Minister is in charge of the implementation of this Law. |
